Delete your FacePrivacy account
You can delete your FacePrivacy account and everything in it at any time, yourself, without contacting us.
This page explains how to delete your account — on the web or in the FacePrivacy app (published by UnFind LLC) — exactly what is removed, and what we are required to keep.
Delete from the web dashboard
Takes effect immediately. You do not need to contact us.
- Sign in at faceprivacy.ai/dashboard.
- Open the Account tab.
- Scroll to Delete your account and read what will be removed.
- Click Delete my account and confirm twice. The second prompt is the point of no return.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest route, and the one we recommend. It takes effect immediately.
- Open the FacePrivacy app and sign in.
- Tap the Account tab in the bottom bar.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm twice when asked. The second prompt is the point of no return.
Delete by email
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We verify ownership of the address and then delete the account. Allow up to 30 days, though in practice it is far quicker.
What is deleted
Deletion is immediate, permanent and cannot be undone. We remove:
- Your account record: name, email address and sign-in credentials
- Every photo you uploaded, including your reference photos and side profile
- Any identity document on file, redacted or otherwise
- Your removal history and the status of every request we filed for you
- Search results and exposure findings held against your account
- Support messages and email correspondence tied to your account
- Your account activity log
If you pay us directly — by card or through PayPal — your subscription is cancelled as part of the same action, so you are not billed again.
If you subscribed through the iOS or Android app, you must cancel with Apple or Google yourself. Apple owns that billing relationship and does not allow us to cancel it on your behalf, so deleting your account here does not stop an App Store subscription renewing. On your iPhone or iPad open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → FacePrivacy → Cancel Subscription, or go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Do this before you delete your account, while you can still see the subscription.
What is kept, and for how long
Two things survive deletion, and we would rather be plain about both.
- Billing records held by our payment providers. Stripe, PayPal, Apple and Google keep transaction records independently of us to satisfy tax and financial-record obligations, typically for seven years. We cannot delete those on your behalf, and no photo or identity document is ever included in them.
- Removal requests already filed. Where we have already asked a facial-recognition service to remove you, that request has left our systems and cannot be recalled. This works in your favour: the removal stands even after your account is gone.
Beyond those, nothing is retained. We do not keep a shadow copy of your photos, and deleted records are not recoverable by us or by you.
